Experience:
Michele is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a Certified Safety Professional with over 35 years of experience in the field of safety and health. In the past, Michele was employed by PPG Industries, Motorola, and NASA before relocating back to the Pittsburgh area and co-founding CIH Services.
Education:
Michele earned her B.S in Chemistry and her M.S. in Environmental Management from the University of Houston at Clear Lake in 1981 and 1987, respectively. She also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston at Clear Lake, teaching classes on the selection and use of personal protective equipment.
Membership:
Michele is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
Certification:
Certified in Comprehensive Practice by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (1988), certified in Comprehensive Practice by the Board of Safety Professionals (1992). Michele is also an EPA Certified Asbestos Abatement Project Designer, and an EPA Lead Risk Assessor.

Experience:
Richard is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional with over 35 years of experience in the field of safety and health. Rick has been Vice President of CIH Services since its founding in 1992. In the past Richard has worked for NASA, the Center for Hazardous Materials Research (CHMR), the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), and has held positions in the construction and environmental industries.
Education:
Richard earned his B.S. from Louisiana State University’s School of Engineering (1982) and his M.S. in Environmental Management from the University of Houston at Clear Lake (1990). He also served as an Instructor at Slippery Rock University, teaching classes in OSHA regulation and hazardous materials management.
Membership:
Richard is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
Certification:
Certified in Comprehensive Practice by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (1991), certified in Comprehensive Practice by the Board of Safety Professionals (1992).
