Bloodborne Pathogens

The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) protects employees with occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. Requirements include the development of an exposure control plan, the use of Universal Precautions, use of engineering and work practice controls, use of personal protective equipment, availability of Hepatitis B vaccines, post exposure evaluation and follow-up, and training. CIH Services can provide BBP training in conjunction with Hazwoper or First Aid/CPR training, or as a stand-alone training.
